PK

I feel that the people of Roncalli are finding out that sports is the key part of our lives in high school.  To date Roncalli has two students that are playing in the NFL.  Pat Koontz, and some other guy.  To me this says that our society has placed more value on the abilities of atheletes than other abilities.  Noone knows what a nice guy Pat was, or even what his hobbies in high school were.  The freshmen and sophmores have no idea who he even was, but they know he went to roncalli so he is their new BFF.  (for you older folks that means best friends forever)  My point is, shouldnt we love Pat Koontz because he was a nice guy, not because he was a football player.  Froshies and Sophies, you just dont get it yet.

The End

Hey, i figured i better start posting these blog things on here eventually.  I just figured out how.  Anyway, the whole controversy surrounding the Iranian president whose name i cannot spell is frustrating to me.  So what if he made some racist comment aganst Israel?  The world is shocked that the Iranian president who reportedly supplied cash, supplies and training to terriorst groups hates Isreal?  Is this really a big news event?  Many more people make racist comments every day to other people across the world than just whatshisname.  I do not belive the issue is that he said what he said, it is the context in which he said it and the manner that he worded it was offensive.  The whole world acted surprised when he said Israel was basically a cesspool of racisim and was nothing but a thorn in the Arab worlds side.   Shocker!!! The terriorist supporter hates Isreal.  Who didnt see that one coming? Noone was surprised, they may talk about it for a bit, but it will eventually be forgotten.  Everyone knows that Iran hates Israel, everyone knows Israel hates Iran, why dont they just get in a room and settle their differences like civilized people instead of doin that schoolyard your mommas so fat routine that 5th graders are better at than them.
